Our CSR Agenda is driven by the fact that the organization depends on the economic, environmental and social wellbeing of the society hence the obligation to ensure business processes contribute to its sustainability. In doing so, Yako Bank has embraced community initiatives in the areas of Children and the Islamic Faith. We also plan to engage in many other upcoming events where we give back to our community.
Ramadan Mubarak Donations
In partnership with Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Nakawa Division, Yako Bank contributed up to 1 Ton of Kakira Sugar to the Islamic community as they concluded the Ramadan Fasting period.

Indian Women Entrepreneur’s Conclave (Indian Cultural Festival)
On the 12th March 2022, Yako Bank was privileged to take part of the Indian Women Entrepreneur’s Conclave where it shared support as a financial and credit institution. A generous contribution was made to the cause. It was a wonderful evening of entertainment and sharing among different sector players.

This took place on the 19th March 2022, and Yako Bank was privileged to be a sponsor for the event. Mentions about the institution, branding of the venue and several discussions between the MD and other sector players gave the institution some mileage.

Rajasthani Association Holi Celebration Color Festival 2022
The Holi Festival of Colors in India is a celebration of the victory of good over evil, the destruction of the demoness Holika. It is celebrated every year on the day after the full moon in the Hindu month of Phalguna which is early March. People celebrate the start of spring and other events in the Hindu religion; they match the streets and spray people with colored powders while dancing and singing. In Uganda the celebration happened on the 20th March 2022 and Yako Bank was a proud sponsor of the activation.
